Bridgetown, Barbados –Windward Islands beat Jamaica by five wickets in Friday’s semi-final of the Regional Super 50 tournament. The Windwards batted brilliantly and made 244-5 off 49 overs in reply to Jamaica’s 242-8 off their 50 overs in a day/night contest at Kensington Oval.

Andre Fletcher made a well-constructed 68 off 81 balls with five boundaries to earn the Man-of-the-Match award. He added a vital 91 for the fourth wicket with Keddy Lesporis, who made a career-best 61. Earlier, opener Devon Smith stroked 10 spectacular boundaries in 59 off 44 balls.

Windwards qualified for the Grand Final on Sunday at 2:30 pm (1:30 pm Jamaica Time). They will face Combined Campuses & Colleges who beat Trinidad & Tobago by 140 runs on Thursday.
