Two Guyanese In Canada Team For Sri Lanka Tour

Two former Guyana cricketers Dillon Heyliger and Jeremy Gordon have named in Canada team for the forthcoming tour of Sri Lanka from March 3-19.

This is part of the country’s preparations ahead of the International Cricket Council 2023, 50-overs World Cup Qualification.

Heyliger, the Essequibian versatile all-rounder, has been a regular member of the national side while Berbician quickie Gordon started to represent Canada over a decade ago.

After the Sri Lanka’s trip, Canada will then head across to Namibia for the tournament which will run from March 24 to April 6.

The 50-over World Cup is slated to be held in India later this year.

Canada team reads: Saad Bin Zafar (Captain), Navneet Dhaliwal, Nikhil Dutta, Jeremy Gordon, Dillon Heyliger, Aaron Johnson, Ammar Khalid, Nicholas Kirton, Parveen Kumar, Shreyas Movva, Kaleem Sana, Pargat Singh, Ravinderpal Singh, Matthew Spoors, Harsh Thaker and Srimantha Wijeyeratne.
