Atlantis Cricket Club – NY today helped lighten the pain of the recent Bronx apartment fire by donating several non-perishable food items, hygiene products, and bottled water to the surviving family members of the tragic fire.

The items were delivered to the Public Safety department of Kingsborough Community College – one of the drop-off sites for the relief effort organized through the City University of New York. The collected items will be forwarded to Bronx Community College for distribution to the surviving members of one of the worst fires in New York City’s history.

Atlantis President Colin Sandy said, “Though not an enormous contribution at this time, our club thought it would donate some foodstuff, toiletries, and bottled water, in keeping with our motto – “Atlantis…More than just cricket!” The club’s Educational Scholarship Awards Fund covered the necessary expense for the purchases. We were happy to contribute as much as we could in the effort to help the displaced families get a leg up on regaining their balance.”
