Despite the difficulty encountered in getting through the preliminary rounds of the NYPL – Inter-League T20 tournament due to shortages of grounds, the sponsors and administrators are determined to finish this competition and make it as much success as they have done over the past years. As such the action continues this Labor Day weekend, September 4th and 5th.

Adam Stanford will be on display this weekend representing the Brooklyn Cricket League In the NYPL clashes.

The Eastern American Cricket League will do battle with the Commonwealth Cricket League for the fourth and final spot. This preliminary round match will be played on Saturday, September 4th @ Canarsie Park, 80th Street, Brooklyn starting @ 10:00 AM.

The winner will then take on the American Cricket League in one of the semi-finals right thereafter at the same venue commencing at 2:30 PM. The other semi-finals will see the Metropolitan Cricket League locking horns with the Brooklyn Cricket League @ Floyd Bennett Field, Brooklyn starting at 11:00 AM. Not to take anything away from the other teams, this two team are probably two of the better teams in this eight teams tournament and without any doubt, promise to be a lot of excitement in this encounter.

The grand finale is schedule for Sunday, September 5th @ Floyd Bennett Field, Brooklyn starting at 12:00 NOON. The winner of Eastern American Cricket League / Commonwealth Cricket League / American Cricket League and Metropolitan Cricket League / Brooklyn Cricket League will face off in the finals.

Come out and support your favorite team and individual players as this is a hallmark for some very exciting T/20 Cricket over this holiday weekend. There will be a presentation immediately after the finals.
