USA Cricket Academy
The USA Cricket Academy has announced its Under-17 and Under-19 American Colts teams for an 18-day tour of India to play matches at different venues in that country. The teams will leave for India on December 18th. The American Colts are excited and rearing to go on the tour.

This is an official USA Youth Tour as the players on the American team are in preparation for the ICC Under-19 World Cup Qualifier in July, 2015. The tour to India will provide an opportunity for the American youth cricketers to hone their skills on the tour in India.

A group of 40+ official members of the USA Cricket Academy, including 34 elite players selected from 14 different States, will be joined by five reputed and experienced coaches and two team management administrators on the tour, with many matches and coaching sessions on the agenda. Many parents are expected to join the tour to be with their loved ones, while supporting the team.

The USA Cricket Academy Management issued a joint statement on the eve of the tour, stating, “This tour will provide a great chance and the best opportunities for our players to play on the best pitches, and to get International cricket experience with the strongest challenge from the most talented local players and teams. The tour will help our elite players gain more confidence and vital experience, as many players have played national, ICC Americas and international cricket. This tour will also provide the right platform for all players to become professional and stay on top for all future cricket events in USA.”

A send-off party and appreciation event for all the players, coaches and parents was held on December13 at the TV Asia campus. The Academy’s management and many others were present during the event to express appreciation for the players’ achievements, and the support of the parents, partners and the other supporters. The day-long event concluded with a two-hour final coaching session for the players, with all coaches and management personnel on site to help players and parents with any final concerns regarding the tour.

USA Cricket Academy’s official partner TV Asia hosted the appreciation event and the players experienced first-hand, what a press conference and interview session looks like. A conversational exchange followed with the parents’ expectations and thoughts on the tour.

The USA Cricket Academy resumes its Youth Cricket International Tours, with its 2014-15 Grand Tour of India for an Under-17 and Under-19 team. The Academy is a registered 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization in the USA, and is the winner of the 2003 ICC Global Award for Best Junior Development Initiative.

Over the years the USA Cricket Academy with the vision of “BUILDING GREAT CRICKET PROFESSIONALS” has had a long and distinguished association with the USA Junior Cricket teams like the 2003 Under-13 team tour to Barbados, four Under-18 team tours to Trinidad, an Under-15 and Under-19 team tour to Wales, four Under-19 team tours to the Sir Garfield Sobers Tournament in Barbados, and an Under-18 team tour to India and Sri Lanka, in 2006.
