Meten-Meer-Zorg having won the 40 over title and is now looking to capture the T20 tournament to make it two in a row. In glorious sunshine at the picturesque Baisley Park (The Cage), the unbeaten East Side Warriors CC won the toss and decided to send the MMZ boys to take first strike in good batting conditions, Andy Mohammed and Ken Nandkumar as usual walked to the middle to face the strong bowling attack of East Side Warriors (ESW).

Deonauth Baksh produce an unbeaten 88 which included 8 fours and 2 sixes.

Mohammed was out early caught off Usman for 2, in came the reliable Deonauth Baksh to the crease, the moment he walked to the crease he started to play shots all over the park, timing the ball sweetly especially through the on side.

Baksh brought up his fifty with a spanking cover drive for four, at the other end Nandkumar played well for a solid 22. Amarnath Persaud was caught for 12, Travis Ross was bowled trying to go big shot for 16. Baksh stayed to the end and was left not out on 88 which included 8 fours and 2 sixes.

MMZ finished on 166 for 8 off their allotted 20 overs.

ESW opened with Alvi Ali and Usman, Ali was out early caught off the bowling of Bilal. At the other end Usman was hitting the ball out of the park as if he was in a baseball batting cage. Shahid Bilal who ended his spell with 2 for 35 was replaced by the young talented quick bowler Rocky Kowchai from the Foch Boulevard end and Saumil Gandhi from the basket ball court end.

With the introduction of these two talented bowlers it was all over for the team from long Island, Gandhi cleaned up Usman for a blazing 40 and then he had Salman caught for 2. Kowchai at the other end  dismantled  the furniture of Husnan, Kashif and Ubaid. Rocky Kowchai finish with brilliant figures two weeks in a row 4 for 17 off 4 overs and Gandhi 2 for 9 off 4 overs, Travis Ross cleaned up Asad with the first ball of the 18th over .

ESW was eventually bowled out for 95 off 17.1 overs. Final scores were MMZ 166 for 8 off 20 overs ESW 95 all out off 17.1 overs.

Meten-Meer-Zorg now faces another fierce opponent that of Big Apple CC in the finals on Sunday at the Cage. MMZ was beaten by Everest/ACS last year in the T/20 final.
