Batting first, NY Fighters reached 128/all out in 29.1 overs.  Sonu Singh was top scorer with 35.
For Tri-City’s bowlers, Maurice Persaud led the way with an impressive 2/0 performance in just 1.1 overs.  Fizal Husain was 2/25, and Raymond Cecil took 2/26.
In reply, Tri-City scored 131/4 in 24.2 overs for the six wicket win. Raymond Cecil top scored with 43, including six boundaries.  Mike Persaud supported with a nice 23 run knock.
For NY Fighters, Nabeel Shafkat was the best bowler with a 2/11 haul, and also contributed in the field with a SPECTACULAR catch of Fizal Husain’s blistering straight drive at mid on.

Statics vs. Pak Punjab at Flushing 1

*This game was played under protest as Pak Punjab contend that Statics played an unregistered and player of another league in their team and didn’t show ID to prove that it was one of their registered players.*
Pak Punjab won the toss and elected to bat, scoring 181/8 in 35 overs.  The wickets fell fast but Haris and Ehtasham managed to score 37 and 32 and Nasir was not out on 21. The highlight of the innings was Adnan for 42 runs in 19 balls with two 4’s and four 6’s.
Statics chased down 187/8 in 33.2 overs for the two wicket victory, pending a league decision on the protest.
Pak Punjab bowling highlights include Iqbal and Qamar with 3 wickets each.

Pasban won the toss and batted first, scoring 159/6.  Excellent 91 run knock by Mubashar, with Naveed (20), Haroon (17) and Hammad (13) supporting.
On the bowling side, Seven Star’s Richie took 3 wickets and Sarmad snagged two.
Seven Stars came up short 119/all out. Top scorer was Bayre with 32.
Pasban bowlers were led by all rounder Mubashar who took 3 wickets, while Naveed, Hammad and Jimmy each grabbed 2.
Pasban won the match by 49 Runs.
