The undefeated Richmond Hill Cricket Club.

EACA Power40 Final
The much anticipated Eastern American Cricket Association Power40 tournament final will be contested at the popular Baisley Cage this Sunday, September 8th. Powerhouses Richmond Hill Cricket Club and Big Apple Cricket Club will clash to claim the big prize in the EACA summer fixtures. The game which commences at 12 PM, is expected to draw a large crowd as the EACA closes off its 40 over stage of the 2013 fixture.

Both teams enjoyed a healthy run up to the finals. RHCC was clinical in their preliminary games, remaining undefeated to this stage. Baring one rain out game, RHCC gained the full allotment of points for the season and completed clinical victories over their opponents all the way into the semi-final where they crushed Atlantis CC by 6 wickets.

The mercurial BACC has gone through the highs and lows of the tournament but still managed to hold things together to make it to the final. They lost to the number 12 ranked NY Centurion CC during the Zone stage but recovered to only be beaten by Everest/ACS & RHCC during the remainder of the tournament. In their semi-final match, one week after narrowly losing to defending champions E/ACS, BACC completed a resounding 100 runs victory to storm into the finals.

Both teams sport a star studded line up with veteran and youth players who have played cricket at various levels for Guyana, USA and other recognized cricking territories. RHCC will rely on its veteran line up which should include Sudesh Dhaniram, Debo Sankar, brothers Shameer and Zaheer Sadloo, Ramphal Bactowar, Deryk McDonald, Wahid Ward, Kumar Nandallal & Kevin Darlington among others. The more youthful BACC should feature; Zaheer Saffie, Richard Ramdeen, Telston Johnson, Romeane Dean, Clain Williams, Andre Kirton, Shawn Thompson as part of their lineup.

All eyes will be on veteran, Sudesh Dhaniram, who has no doubt been the mastermind of the RHCC dominance having scored a mammoth 773 runs in the season, highlighted by double hundred in the round robin stage and an unbeaten 113 in the semi-final. Kumar Nandallal, who will be coming up against his former club mates, has led the wickets column for RHCC and the league. He currently has 24 wickets and will be looking to add to his tally.

For BACC the players to watch are Richard Ramdeen and Zaheer Saffie who have led their batting so far. Andre Kirton and Shawn Thompson will be the bowlers to look out for having leaded the wickets column for BACC.

Fans are invited to come out and enjoy what has built up to be the clash of the summer. EACA will provide audio commentary at the park to keep fans updated as the game progresses. The first ball bowls off at 12 PM.

The league has scheduled an early round of T20 games for some other teams. See schedule below.
