Asked to bat, USA gave a good account of itself by putting on a solid 261 for 9 from 50 overs, courtesy half-centuries from Nicholas Stanford (59 from 59 balls) and Timroy Allen (53 not out from 52 balls). Aftab Ahmed was the pick of the bowlers for Denmark, with 4 for 58 from 10 overs.

In response, Denmark was shaky at first but gathered confidence on the back of a 166-run third wicket partnership between Freddie Klokker (86 from 88 balls) and Zameer. Denmark lost a few quick wickets but Zameer’s solid 121-ball knock with six boundaries ensured a victory with nine balls to spare.

Bermuda vs Jersey
Kamau Leverock smashed a blistering 137 to set up Bermuda’s 85-run win over Jersey via Duckworth-Lewis Method in their ICC WCL Division 4 contest at Wright Cricket Field in Woodley Park, Los Angeles on Wednesday (November 3).

Opting to bat first, Bermuda put up a massive 312 for 8 in 45 overs. The game was curtailed after winds brought the sightscreen down in the 15th over of Bermuda’s innings.

In response, Jersey went after the score but couldn’t keep up with the stiff ask before being bundled out for 227 from 37.2 overs. Cejay Outerbridge was the pick of the bowlers for Bermuda, bagging 5 for 25.

The massive victory came on the back of Leverock’s 111-ball blitz that contained 10 fours and eight sixes. Oliver Pitcher, the Bermuda skipper, added a healthy 63 from 102 balls to play the perfect second fiddle to Leverock, 22, at the top of the order, with the opening partnership yielding 211 runs in quick time.

Italy vs Oman
Zeeshan Siddiqui’s unbeaten half-century guided Oman to a convincing victory over Italy at Wong Cricket Field.

Asked to bat, Italy put on 205 for 9 from 50 overs in the face of a quality bowling effort from Oman. Damian Crowley (54 from 95 balls) and Fida Hussain (51 not out from 41 balls) were the biggest contributors for Italy.

In response, Oman lost Zeeshan Maqsood off the second delivery of the innings, but a sturdy performance there on ensured a simple victory. Siddiqui was at the forefront of this performance with his 71-ball 54 with five fours.
