The all exciting Capital District Cricket Association T10 tournament has reached the business end with playoffs taking place this weekend of Saturday the June 26th at Grout Park, Schenectady, New York.

Mike Persaud
Veteran Mike Persaud is the leading wicket taker.

As expected, the Jaguars and Gujarat Lions topped their groups from start to finish with the Albany Highlanders and JET Albany took the runner up spots in their groups. The stage is now set for the semifinals and finals with all the 3 exciting games taking place on the same day in what promises to be a treat for the local cricket enthusiasts.

The first semis will see Highlanders locking horns with Gujarat Lions while Jaguars and JET Albany play the second semis.

David Latchaya of the Jaguars played another excellent innings of 34 off 28 balls in his last league match and still leads the batting charts while Mike Persaud, the wily veteran swing bowler who is aging like a fine wine, is still at his best moving the ball both ways and troubling the batsman. He leads the bowling charts with 7 wickets.

Other notable batting performances include: Raj Ardham’s (Knights) explosive 43 off 24 balls with his opening partner Ruthvik Vemareddy scoring 35 off 26 balls against United Warriors, Manan Patel’s swashbuckling 31 off 16 balls in a great chase against Knights, Siva Pattapu’s 31 against Everglade Strikers, Wristy Renny Jainabi’s 43 off just 24 balls against Panthers.
