The Produce Mom and Radio Disney partnered with IPS to deliver such a great event to the community. The event focused on the critical connection between physical activity, good nutrition and learning. More than 25 Groups, Including the Marion County Public Health Department, American Red Cross, Nine13 Sports, Indianapolis Monumental Marathon, Boys and Girls Scouts, and many other leading organizations in Indiana, participated in the festival with activities and information for the entire family.

US Youth Cricket Association (USYCA) cricket sets were on display, and Indiana Youth Cricket provided “How to Play Cricket” and other youth cricket programs awareness during the festival.

During the event, Boomer the NBA’s Indiana Pacers’ mascot, tried cricket batting skills with young kids. Thanks to the event’s main sponsor Radio Disney – a nationwide children’s favorite radio station, covered Boomer live on 98.3 FM – a local area radio station.

Wellness Festival event host Katherine Langdon, IPS’ Program Director and lead Instructor for the IPS schools cricket program continues to promote health and wellness matters for youths, by all means where any sport offers more interest, as they love to play.

“This year’s IPS Wellness Festival was bigger than last year’s and with perfect weather, more youths and families came out to try different sports at this fun-filled event. We are very glad to be part of such community events in Indiana, and to support the youths by means of the sport of cricket. Thanks Boomer for trying Cricket!” Said Jatin Patel, 2nd Vice President US Youth Cricket Association and President of Indiana Youth Cricket.
