In partnership with Greenwich Mad Dogs, Old Greenwich Riverside Community Center is offering instructional cricket and friendly matches between participants.

Instructional Cricket Clinic
Soft Ball: The six-week instructional program runs on Saturday mornings, May 9th – June 13th and is available for youths between the ages of 8-13. Participants will learn the rules, principles and customs of the game, including fundamental batting, bowling and fielding skills, and gain hands-on experience through friendly scrimmage matches. Cricket is considered the world’s second most popular sport behind soccer. The clinic uses safe plastic bats and wickets with a rubber ball. All rules, scoring and strategies for the game, as well as fundamental fielding, bowling and batting skills will be covered. Join us for an opportunity to play in a fun competitive environment!

Advanced Cricket Clinic – Hard Ball
In partnership with Greenwich Mad Dogs, we are also this year for the first time offering an advanced instructional cricket clinic using regular hard cricket balls and pads. This program is the first of its kind in town and will run for six weeks on Saturday mornings, May 9th – June 13th and is available for youths between the age of 10-15. The advanced clinic will use youth cricket gear, including helmets and a regular cricket ball. We will provide fielding, bowling and batting skills focus with the aim to end the clinic with an organized game against another area team in Greenwich. Join us for an opportunity to play in a fun competitive environment!
