UMass won the toss and elected to take first strike, the opening pair struggled to score freely on a fast outfield, as veteran swing bowler Lall Balgobin and Sharaz Baksh picked up one wicket each. Guyana achieved the target of 166, while losing only two wickets in 23 overs.
