Brooklyn’s Gateway Park is the venue where for the first time in a women’s game, text and radio commentary will be done by newyorkcricket.com.

Lynx is aiming to maintain its unbeaten record in the competition while Warriors wants to record its first win ever over their arch rivals.

Based on the results so far, Lynx should have the easier task as a series of flawless performances have resulted in them disposing of Warriors in their first encounter and crushing New Jersey Phoenix.

Warriors did their duty by defeating Phoenix, by far the weakest of the teams on show, and will have to produce exceptional batting, bowling and fielding to topple the efficient Lynx.

Led by centurian Lorena Vitte, Indomattie Goordial-John, Meena Bhaskar, Candacy Atkins and Monique Mathee Nadia, Lynx has a powerful batting line that was instrumental in their two victories.   It is doubtful whether Warriors has the bowling firepower to restrict them, but in cricket where glorious uncertainties are possible, a surprise is always around the corner.

Warriors will depend a great deal on the bowling wyles of Sahir Azmat and Grace Richards while the experienced Joy Jones, Doris Francis and Catherine Jones will spearhead the batting.

Allrounders Goordial-John Triholder Marshall have been very effective leading Lynx’s bowling and they will be confident of carrying their team to another victory unless, Warriors bowlers spring a surprise.

The action will start at 1 pm.
