The toss was delayed due to the umpire’s late arrival and it was Centurion who won the coin flip and elected to take first strike. NY Centurion opening pair of Orette and Chris Ragunath walked out to the middle in their red and black Royal Challenger Bangalore look alike apparel.

MMZ started with Rocky Kowchai and NYR under 19 captain Amarnauth Persaud who filled in for Rayhanul Islam due to exams. Kowchai was the first to strike having Raghnauth trapped lbw for a duck soon after he cleaned bowled Myre for 2, veteran Ganesh Ramsingh joined Raj Sewanan hoping to repair the early damage that was done by Kowchai, just as the batsmen were looking good Persaud induced an outside edge off Sewanan’s bat to wicketkeeper Asgarally. The hard hitting composed looking Glenn Lorick joined Ramsingh who was batting solidly, Persaud and Kowchai continued to bowl well keeping things tight, Glenn played some fine stroke until he flick one off Persaud to mid-wicket, took off for a single where Saud Hussain did a brilliant piece of fielding and whip the return to Asgarally to find Glenn just short of his crease.

Vijay Persaud came in and played well until he was also run out by another brilliant piece of fielding this time by the young 17-year-old NYR under 19 player Trevis Ross. Ramsingh was running out of partners when he decided to go over the top and was compressively bowled by Persaud. Josh Gomes came in and was out caught by Kowchai at cover for a duck of Persaud. Marlon Mangroo came in and played very well hitting some glorious cover drive before he was out smart by a Saumil Gandhi delivery and was well caught by Amarnath Persaud at deep mid-wicket, Mahendra Kushieal was caught and bowled by Azurdeen Mohammed to end the innings with Achilles Gomes left not out, NY Centurion was all out for meager 68 off 16.3 overs.

Bowling for MMZ R. Kowchai 6-1-18-2, A. Persaud 7-2-12-3, N. Patel 1-0-11-0, S. Gandhi 1-1-0-1 and Azurdeen Mohammed 1.3-0-12-1.

MMZ chancing only 69 to win the skipper Azurdeen Mohammed wanted to give his other players a chance to bat started off their innings with Richie Sieuchand and Saud Hussain. It was Sieuchand who was the aggressor again hitting the ball to all parts of the Flushing field with the score on 54 Sieuchand brings up his fifty with a powerful six over long off. Saud Hussain was batting solidly played a loose shot and was out caught at long off. Amarnath Persaud Joined Sieuchand and the pair see MMZ home with Richie hitting the winning runs.
