One Team One Goal! The Meten-Meer-Zorg (MMZ) Superstars and their caring and passionate supporters took on the Bengali Tigers and the talented unit of the Thunderstorms.

The MMZ Superstars is captain by the ever improving Rafeek Nazeer and coached by Ajaz Asgarally. On Wednesday Aug 6th they took on Tigers and that was a walk in the park for the Superstars boys dressed in their orange and black outfit. The Tigers managed a below par score of 108 with Syeed the only batsman got some momentum going in his knock of 37. Superstars’ bowlers were all on target. The pair of Rafeek Nazeer and new boy Ryan Ramnarine opened the batting for the Superstars and put on a quick fire partnership of 80.

With a classy 60 from Nazeer which included some elegant flicks, classy cover drives and gruesome hook shots that went for six. Ramnarine played his shots on the other hand and found the boundary on regular occasions in his supporting knock of 23. Hamad Hussain stepped to the crease after Ramnarine was dismissed and brought home the game in fine fashion. Giving Superstars their first win.

On Thursday Aug 7th it was touted as runs fest as Superstars posted a total of 253. Mr. Ajaz Asgarally. Superstars Manager taking time off of his busy schedule in the field of realty shows us that he is passionate and hungry for success. Superstars after a brief group talked from the manager stress that the priority is for everyone to be disciplined took to the field to go through a short warm up session. The toss was won by Thunderstorms and they sent superstars to take first strike.

The pair of Rafeeq Nazeer and Ryan Ramnarine got the MMZ superstar off to a flyer with respective knocks 20 and 27. Shylendra Shameer the talented all-rounder stepped to the crease and took no time to settle in and play his shots. He cleared the boundary 7 times and found the ropes on 5 occasions in his outstanding knock of 70. Robin Ramasami supported him well with a knock of 16. Hamad Hussain and Jason Hall continued the destruction as the Thunderstorms boys were seen begging for the rain to come down and take them out of this horrifying situation.

Jason Hall Made a quick fire 60 and Hussain made 35 putting the superstars in the driving seat. Superstars’ bowlers were once again all disciplined and restricted the Thunderstorms as none of their batsman got going.
