Media release from USYCA Affiliate Member Missouri Youth Cricket Association:
The Missouri Youth Cricket Association (MYCA) has been formally registered as non-profit organization in state of Missouri. The primary objective of MYCA is to build an infrastructure to promote the development of cricket in state of Missouri. MYCA’s primary location is Ed Bales Park, St. Charles, MO.

MYCA is also pleased to announce the MYCA Cricket Academy, completely dedicated to training youth in the art of cricket. MYCA is building a detailed and documented step-by-step youth development program, with a clear vision and goal to produce quality cricket players, and is looking for dedicated volunteers and coaches. MYCA is seeking guidance from USYCA and USACA in developing its program.

MYCA will hold 3 tournaments for the U10 and U16 age groups, along with at least four clinics in 2013. MYCA is also working on possibly conducting a women’s tournament.

Five teams are signed up in each for the U10 and U16 double wicket tournaments, scheduled for the weekend of March 16 & 17. Nineteen adult teams are signed up for the Six-A-Side Tournament, starting the same weekend.

Both the events have been named in honor of ‘NATIONAL YOUTH CRICKET DAY 2013’.
