Received from USYCA Affiliate Member Missouri Youth Cricket Association:
On March 31, Missouri Youth Cricket Association (MYCA) conducted three events as part of its support for NYCD 2014.

A young girl bat during National Youth Cricket Day.

For adults, we conducted a Six A Side Tournament in which we had 26 Teams participate with the tournament being played over three weekends starting March 15. The tournament was won by the Jaguars team, with the Crusaders finishing as Runner Up. For complete deatils: http://www.stlcricketleague.com/docs/myca_stlcl_six_a_side_nycd_2014.pdf

For families, we conducted a Parent and Player Double Wicket Tournament. This was a very exciting tournament where a father or mother teamed up with their son or daughter and competed. We had nine teams participate and the tournament was won by Ritu (8) and Ranjeet. The runner up team was Arnav (9) and Shyam. The other teams that made it to final round were Rishith (12) & Rajesh and Yuvraj (9) and Priya.

And finally for youth, we had a Youth Double Wicket Tournament. This tournament was won by Ritu (8) and Yuvraj (9). The runner up team was Rahul (10) and Aman (10).

MYCA is excited to have started the 2014 Season successfully with above events. The 20-week MYCA Cricket Academy Program at Bales Park starts April 5 and the Level 1 Coach Certification is scheduled for April 12.

A message from the MYCA Team to all the American youth cricket supporters, “Lets make 2014 a year of learning and growth for all our young cricketers.” MYCA appeals to every adult cricket player to commit to dedicating at least two hours in 2014 in support of youth cricket.
