Missouri Youth Cricket Association and Bolingbrook Youth teams.

Received from USYCA Affiliate Missouri Youth Cricket Association:
Missouri Youth Cricket Association (MYCA) youth team traveled to Bolingbrook, Chicago (300 miles) to play an under 12 bilateral series on June 6. MYCA and BPL have a very strong relationship and are committed to development of youth cricket in the region. We played a couple of bilateral series last year, and this year is a continuation of that partnership.

In the first game, BPL U12 scored 69 All Out (Yuvraj 4/13, Shyam 1/7). MYCA U12 Team chased it down comfortably at loss of one wicket with batting contributions from Abhiru, Kushal and Yuvraj.

In the 2nd game, BPL started strong and picked MYCA wickets at regular intervals. Abhiru and Taine provided some stability in the middle order and MYCA were about 56 in the 14th over. Yuvraj Singh, batting at number 8, offered some aggressive strokes and scored a quick 26 to enable MYCA to reach 98/8.

In the chase, Ritu and Vivek started with outstanding spells, and had BPL five wickets down by 5th over with less than 10 runs on the board. Kausthubh picked up a couple more wickets in his spell that followed, and BPL team folded on 23. Parth bowled a tight spell, too.

The MYCA U12 raised their game to a different level, and their energy, teamwork and confidence was a treat to watch.

This bilateral series to continue in August, when BPL team travels St. Charles, Missouri to play against MYCA.

It was a great learning experience for players from both sides. Thank you to Priya Singh (MYCA) and Sundar R. (BPL) for setting up this bilateral series.
Missouri YCA would like to thank USYCA for its support in youth cricket development. Both MYCA and BPL are preparing to compete at National Cricket Championship in July.
