Received from USYCA Affiliate Missouri Youth Cricket Association:

On May 4, MYCA (Missouri Youth Cricket Association) successfully completed a three-day youth cricket camp offered by St. Louis County Parks and Recreation Department. The camp was conducted at Love Park in Ballwin on Sundays from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM.

One of the young participant bowling.

The camp was intended to provide the basic cricket education to the youth players in St. Louis County. The camp included basic cricket introduction, importance of warm up, fielding drills, batting drills, bowling drills and game format drills.

The kids participated with great enthusiasm and the parents also showed tremendous support towards conducting the session. Everyone left with smiles and with desire of seeing more such clinics. The next youth cricket camp offered by St. Louis County Parks is in June 2014 and those who missed this clinic please register for next one. You can register for the camp by calling St. Louis Parks and Recreation office.

MYCA would like to thank Marvin Anderson (Recreation Supervisor, Saint Louis County Parks) for including cricket in their Youth Team Sports Program and offering the wonderful sport of cricket to St. Louis community.
