In a rematch of last year’s quarterfinalists Seven Stars came out triumphant once again versus the Strikers.

With revenge on their minds and a revamped roster Strikers had been eagerly awaiting this rematch for a long time.  Unfortunately for the Strikers and their fans, the match ended up being a one sided affair – against their favor.  Seven Star dominated the match with their batting and bowling – a complete match played by one of the favorites to win the Premier division championship.

Despite losing a wicket on the first ball of the match, Seven Stars went onto compile a massive total of 279 for 6 declared in 34.5 overs.  Seven Stars were led by a magnificent century (101) from opener Mohsin Khan and from Andy Patel (64).  Other notable contributions came from Sarmad Khan (36) and Vijay Seonarine (20).

As notable as the batting performance was the Seven Star bowling performance was just as dominant.  The hard hitting Strikers were bowled out for a measly total of 107.  The bowling attack was led by Vijay Seonarine who notched his first 5-fer (5/17) of the season and Tim Persuad who took 2 wickets.
