The New York Cricket Region had a productive Under-19 practice “trial” match on Wednesday August 11th at Baisley Cage in Queens.

A total of thirty motivated and ambitious youngsters were in attendance to compete for a spot in the upcoming USACA U-19 Eastern Conference National Tournament scheduled for August 20th. – 22th to be held in Connecticut.

News is that the Region will shortlist twenty-four players before the next try-out match, scheduled for Saturday, August 14th at Baisley Cage, which starts at 10:00 am sharp.

A few noticeable officials present at the practice match were NYCR Director, Selwyn Caesar, USA Under-19 coach, Sew Shivnarine, USA Under-19 manager, Wesley King, PSAL Assistant Cricket Commissioner Ricky Kissoon, league organiser Patrick Sutherland of Brooklyn Cricket League, and EACA league president Rudy Persaud.
