Richmond Hill won the toss and sent in Victory to take first strike on a beautiful Brentwood Park. They were off to a slow start due to some consistent opening spell from Deryck McDonald and Fidel Sooknandan.

Their first wicket fell at 18, 2nd at 46, 3rd at 59, 4th at 111, 5th at 149. Skipper Shameer Sadloo would keep the batsmen in check as he was well supported by youngster Michael Ketwaroo, Brandon Datt and Steve Mangru returning to the game after a long break.

At the end of the 30th over the score was 137, however a brilliant 6th wicket partnership between Sumit Rajpaul 65 (9×4) and Pradeep Singh 46 N.O (4×4) (1×6) would yield 110 runs off just 60 balls. At close of Victory CC innings they would post a challenging 247 off there allotted 40 overs for 6 wickets.

In reply Richmond Hill opening with as they critics would call him Debo “Sachin Tendulkar” Sankar and Ronald Evelyn, their opening stand would yield 56 runs before R. Evelyn was caught for 10. Royo Sankar join his younger brother Debo Sankar but would soon Depart with the score on 76, out done by a full toss second week in a row for 11.

However the ever reliable former Deryck McDonald Joined Debo Sankar and the pair would put together a 3rd wicket partnership of 88 runs, as Debo Sankar stroked the ball to all parts of the fast Brentwood field. Soon D. McDonald would depart for 30 with the score at 164. Shameer Sadloo 2, Steve Mangru 9, Tyrel Datt 6 would soon follow.

As Debo Sankar continue to steady the innings with fine stroke play. Fidel Sooknandan hit a cameo 24 of just 14 balls to bring RHCC closer to victory and at the end needing 14 runs of 12 balls Debo Sankar saw RHCC home with 2 runs needed in the last over for a thrilling finish. He would remain unbeaten at the end on 117 (12×4) (2×6).
