Record Number Of Maryland Junior Teams To Compete In 2017

AtlanticNews April 17, 2017 admin

This season’s Maryland state youth cricket competition will see fourteen teams competing in two age brackets, the largest number of teams ever. New entries this year come from the Future Stars School of Cricket, Linthicum Ferndale Youth Athletic Association and the Washington Cricket Academy. The growing Bowie program, fed by their huge elementary and middle schools leagues, will now field two 15U teams, up from one last year.

All of this means that more children will be playing competitive junior cricket in Maryland than ever before, many of them on pitches that did not exist only a few years ago. In 2017, Maryland continues to demonstrate its leadership in youth cricket development, with a tested and proven blueprint for American success.
