EACA T20Blitz Championship
Richmond Hill CC & Everest/ACS defeated their opponents in the Eastern American Cricket Association T20Blitz semi-finals this past Weekend and will face off in the Grand Final this Sunday at the Baisley Cage.
Richmond Hill CC spurred by a blistering knock of 141 off 62 balls by Wahid Ward successfully chased down 235 against Big Apple CC in Semi-Final 1 played at Baisley Pond. RHCC will go into the final having lost only one match in the group stage, that against Liberty SC. Their rout to the final included knocking over Atlantis CC in the Quarter Final.
Everest/ACS remained undefeated in the competition when they beat Liberty SC inside the 20th over chasing 173 in their semi-final match. E/ACS won both of their group stage matches and got a walk over for two others. They then defeated Meten-Meer-Zorg CC in he Quarter-Final of the tournament before knocking out Liberty SC.
The two experienced squads will clash at 1 PM at the Baisley Cage to determine the winner of the T20Blitz competition. The match will also bring an end to the 2013 season for the Eastern American Cricket Association league.
