Seven Star took on one of the stalwarts of the league – Pak America CC. Seven Star CC batting first posted an impressive total of 247/7 in 35 overs. They were led appropriately by their openers Moshin Khan (81) and Ryan Rajmangal (75). The opening pair were going guns blazing as they built a partnership of 149 before Ryan was caught at the boundary in the 21st over. From there on, Seven Star CC got timely contributions from Greg Sewdial and Nadir Mohammad to take their club over to a decent total.

With a daunting task of chasing down a huge total, Pak America CC came out aggressively, as Yasir Jamshed signaled his intentions right from the first ball of their innings, as he went for a cover drive only to edge it second slip. Lucky for him he was dropped, but not so far Pak America, as that was just beginning of similar things to come.

Led by Krish Ketwaroo (4 wickets) and Ritesh Patel (3 wickets), Seven Star’s bowling attack was relentless with their line and length and bottled up Pak America’s batting. Pak America fought valiantly but could not keep up with the asking run rate which kept climbing steadily and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. They were bowled out for 166 in 28.2 overs.
