The first prize of $2000 was enough motivation for the eight stalwarts and we saw some mouth-watering cricket in the quarters and semis.

In the quarters, Strikers defeated Kings 11, Pak- America beat SVAM, Seven Star beat Pak Warriors and Melbourne beat Rangerz.

Then moving on to the semis, a strong Seven Star team led by star-player Vijay [Nap] Seonarine, beat Strikers team with 4 balls to spare.

The super-consistent Mohsin Khan scored 76 not out adding to his 120 not out in the quarters against Pak Warriors.

Melbourne CC, the runner-up in the regular season, was defeated by Pak-America.

The final will be played this Sunday at the scenic Whitestone Park in the Bronx, on the asphalt wicket. It is Seven Star’s home ground and realistically they should have an edge.

But the opposition wants revenge for a bad regular season and they have a mighty team which includes Wahab and Hunain. In full flow, there is no better sight than these two brothers who are capable of flaying any attack, anywhere.

So come out to watch some good cricket on Sunday.

Vijay Seonarine, Mohsin Khan, Nadir and Sarmad pitted against Wahab, Hunain, Azhar and the mighty Asif.

It should be an amazing 40 overs of cricket.
