Teams Vie For Championship Titles On Saturday

This Saturday, June 18, Burtonsville, Maryland be will the site of the 4th Annual Maryland Youth Cricket Championship, the only statewide cricket championship played in America.

There will be 11U & 15U championship matches taking place simultaneously from 3-5PM; the grounds are at 15701 Good Hope Road, Silver Spring, MD 20905.

The championship match-up are:
11U – Bowie vs. Germantown
15U – Rockville vs. Germantown

The Maryland Youth Cricket Association is dedicated to the expansion of the sport of cricket among young people across the state of Maryland. We are also committed to growing women’s participation; of the 336 schools cricket players in Maryland this year, 113 were girls.

To date, we have placed cricket sets in over 500 Maryland schools, and have created America’s only elementary and middle school cricket leagues, making Maryland the national leader in youth cricket.
