The USA Friendship Cup, the biggest T20 cricket competition ever to hit Houston is set for this weekend, when twelve high-powered teams featuring international, national and local players will be converging on the beautiful fields at Paul D. Rushing Park-9114 Katy Hockley Rd, Katy, TX to participate in this historic tournament. The tournament is set to attract the international stars, established stars, potential stars and even some of the best junior stars from around the USA.

Sunju Patel, President of USA Friendship Cup T20, LLC, (USAFCT20) the host and sponsors of the tournament explained, “We are excited for the opportunity to host this tournament in Houston. Cricket is the number two most popular sport in the world and Houston has a rich history in hosting first-class events.”

“Our mission, goals and objectives are to host matches every year in different parts of the USA to showcase high profile international, national and emerging local players from the various leagues within the USA” stated Siva Narapareddy, Vice President of USAFCT20.

The US Tigers will be defending the Championship, won in Florida last year from Smart Choice, Boom Boom Blasters, Indian Lions, Boston Gymkhana, Houston Eagles, Washington Tigers, Grand Rapid Tigers, Jersey Boys, AFT Gladiators, Punjab Lions and Houston Cougars.

This weekend, the players and officials will be landing on “Mission Control Center” to compete for the Championship Trophy and $22,500 in prize monies. Admission is free to the public
