The New York Cricket Region U-15 team defeated USA Cricket Indoor U-15 by 13 runs in a low scoring T/20 friendly match at Idlewild Cricket Ground on Sunday, October 17th in support of the NYR U-19 “Fundraiser drive”. Members of the NYR U-19 team is scheduled to compete in the 2010 USACA Junior Nationals scheduled for November 12th – 14th to be held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

It was encouraging to witness that the best cricket ground in New York was utilized for our young cricketers. We much commend members of Queens United Cricket Club, and everyone involved in organizing this fruitful event in such a short notice.
The event was utilized to present awards to members of the region’s U15 squad who participated in the recently concluded USACA U15 tournament in Atlantic Region.
Openings Zahib Tariq, and Randall Wilson shared the MVP award. Randall Wilson, Zahib Tariq, and Trevis Ross were included in the All Tournament XI squad.
