The New York Cricket Region Under-19 team will compete in a warm-up match against a New York U-23 team on Saturday, Oct., 9th at Baisley Park (Cage), 11:00 am in preparation for the 2010 USACA National Junior Championships. The U-19 team will utilize pink cricket balls in celebrating twenty-five years of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Pink cricket balls will be use in this game in honor of Breast Cancer Month which is observed in October.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM) (also referred to in America as National Breast  Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM)) is an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention and cure. The campaign also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer.  As well as providing a platform for breast cancer charities to raise awareness of their work and of the disease, BCAM is also a prime opportunity to remind women to be breast aware for earlier detection.
