Mississauga Under-17 International Trophy
A confident USA Cricket Coaches Under 17 Team departs for Canada for a four day action packed tournament.The tournament runs from August 3rd to 6th and includes two Limited (50) overs and three T20 games. The first game will be played at the Mavis Cricket Ground against The host’s Elite Under 17 Team. The following day the USA Cricket Coaches Association’s Team will be matched against the Ontario Cricket Academy & Club’s President’s XI at the same Venue. Next, they play against Mississauga Cricket League Select XI in the first of three T20 games. They conclude the tournament on August 6th with two back to back T20 games against a Toronto XI at the Mavis Cricket Ground and OCA&C Under 17 Elite Squad at the Malton Cricket Ground.

The players, parent, coaching, management and Executive of the Association are excited at the prospects of returning with the Mississauga Under 17 International Cricket Trophy.

Trevis Ross NY (Captain)
Left Hand Batsman, Right Arm Off Spin Bowler
Travis plays in the Eastern American League for NNZ.
Captaincy Experience:  New York Under 15 in 2009-2010, NY Under17 in 2010 and NY Under 19 in 2011
He played for the Berbice Cricket Club in Guyana and was called to play for the Guyana Under-15s in 2008.

Karanjit Singh CT
Right Opening Batsman, Right Arm Medium Fast Bowler.
Played for USA Under 15 in 2011.
Represented North East at 15, 19, and senior level once.
He was also the captain of the North East Under 15s. He learned cricket in India, and learned from a Jamaican Bowler named Brian Murphy. The SCTCA (Southern Connecticut Cricket Association) is his main league.

Brandon Dat, NY
A tall elegant left handed middle order batsman that also bowls left arm orthodox spin. He played for the United States under 15-ricket team and is currently a main find for the New York Under 19 squad.

Rafeek Nazeer, NY
Right Hand Batsman, Right Arm Off Spin Bowler
Played in Guyana for Demerara Cricket Club
Played for NY Under 15 Region and represents New York Youths in the American League.

Vivek Barbhaiya  NJ
Vivek is an attacking right hand opening batsmen/wicketkeeper who is 15 years old. He was the captain of the U-13 cricket team that went to Cupertino, California in the summer of 2010.  Next, he was the vice-captain for the U-15 Directors XI team that went to the national U-15 tournament in Newark. He had an outstanding performance with the most dismissals by a keeper and was recognized as one of the top performers in the tournament. Vivek has played for  Dream cricket U-15, and U-13, Directors XI, USCA U-17, and USCA. Lastly, Vivek can bowl occasional left arm orthodox spin

Vibhav Altekar , CA
Vibhav is a top order right handed batsman from California Cricket Academy  ( CCA ) .He represented Northwest region under 15  2010,2011, represented USA  Under -15 in 2011 and most recently represented USA Under-18 at the ICC Florida camp. Vibhav is a passionate student of cricket and has undergone coaching from CCA coaches as well as some local bay area coaches.
He was top scorer for USA in the ICC U 15 tournament held in Winnipeg in August 2011.

Gordon Makin, MC, Age 16,
Gordon is a top-order batsman, wicket-keeper, Michigan Cricket Academy and Motown Cricket Club (Michigan Cricket Association).  Gordon has been playing cricket since he was twelve, and has played in MichCA league competitions since he was thirteen.  He has played for MCA in youth tournaments in Michigan, Chicago, Florida, California, and Toronto.  For three years he played for Central East Region U-15s in the national inter-regional tournament, scoring his maiden fifty against South West Region in 2011 and adding two more in 2012.

Gauranshu  Sharma, NJ  ( Vice Captain)
Gauranshu represented Atlantic region (USACA.) in U-15 championship in year 2009, 2010, 2011. Gauranshu is technically sound Right handed top order batsman and right arm accurate off spin bowler.  Gauranshu was part of the CCA Under-16 team Tour to India during the year 2009. Teams: Atlantic Region U-15 2009, 2010 & 2011.  CCA U-16 India Tour Year 2009, Dream Cricket U-13 Year-2009, 2010 , USA Cricket Academy  2009, 2010, 2011,2012 CCA-U17 National Tournament in 2011. Gauranshu plays for 40 overs adult league in MCL, CLNJ & NJCA. He is excellent fielder.

Poojan Mody , NJ
Poojan is an opening bowler. He is also a strategic fielder and a technical batsman. He has played six games for USCA in 2010,2011,2012. He has also captained the U-15 Directors XI team which played in the 2010 national U-15 tournament.  In a match against Connecticut, he scored 24 not out batting at number seven in an important seventy run partnership to help the Directors XI win the match. He began playing cricket in India at the age of 3. After moving to the US in 2004, he began coaching in 2009 and continues to contribute to the game of cricket with passion.

Jwal  Shelat, CA
Jwal started playing cricket 4 years ago, since then, he has made very good progress in his batting and bowling technique, as well as fielding.
Jwal participated in 2010 U15 tournament organized by USACA, where he was a member of Atlantic region U15 director’s eleven team. During this tournament, he opened the batting and also contributed with his medium pace bowling. Team USCA 2010, 2011, 2012.

Rutvij Bhise, CA
Rutvij Bhise is a right arm, medium fast bowler who represented the USA in U 15 ICC Americas tournament in 2011. He opened the bowling for team USA in that tournament and got the second highest wickets for his team.  During the USACA 2011 U 15 regional tournament, Rutvij was named Man of the match for his 5 wicket haul (5 for 12) in the final. A useful middle order batsman, Rutvij plays club cricket in the San Francisco bay area and has made an impact in the senior league with his all-round ability.

Randall Wilson, NY
Randall is a Right Hand # 3 Batsman and Right Arm Slow Medium Bowler.
He was selected to play for the USA Under 15 and was r in the 2012 USA Under 18 Team that played in Florida.
He learned cricket in Guyana where he played for the Demerara Cricket Club
