The tournament was organized by Derek Perera, Chairman of The Ontario Cricket Academy & Club. The host is seen as the premier cricket academy in Canada, and strongly believes that a tournament such as this will certainly help to develop both the young Canadian and American players.

All players participating in the tournament will benefit from a Specialist Coaching session with overseas professional players (1 IPL player and 2 Sri Lankan National players).

There are discussions on the way to make this an annual reciprocal Tournament. The USA Cricket Coaches Association will be hosts to the Ontario Cricket Academy & Club for the 2013 event. In addition, the Executive of the Association are also planning an International Under 17’s tour either to India or The Caribbean during 2013.

The USA Coaches Association’s Under 17 squad comprises players from New Jersey, New York, California, Connecticut and Michigan. All games will be streamed lived online and can be viewed when available on www.newyorkcricket.com.

The tournament runs from August 3rd to 6th and includes two Limited (50) overs and three T20 games. The first game will be played at the Mavis Cricket Ground against The host’s Elite Under 17 Team. The following day the USA Cricket Coaches Association’s Team will be matched against the Ontario Cricket Academy & Club’s President’s XI at the same Venue. Next, they play against Mississauga Cricket League Select XI in the first of three T20 games.

USA under-15 player Brandon Dat is also included in the USACCA's squad.

They conclude the tournament on August 6th with two back to back T20 games against a Toronto XI at the Mavis Cricket Ground and OCA&C Under 17 Elite Squad at the Malton Cricket Ground.

The players, parent, coaching, management and Executive of the Association are excited at the prospects of returning with the Mississauga Under 17 International Cricket Trophy.
