Orlando Baker was named man-of-the-match.

USA defeated rivals Canada by five wickets to claim the ICC Americas Division 1 T20 Championship title played at NSC, Bermuda on Sunday.

Electing to field first, USA displayed a tight bowling performance to limit the opposition to 100 all out with only three balls to spare. Steve Massiah was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3-21 while Lennox Cush, Timray Allen and Man of the Match Orlando Baker shared two wickets apiece.

In reply, USA reached its target with nine balls to spare with top scores from Aditha Thyagarajan (27 not out) and opener Sushil Nadkarni (25). Khurram Chohan and Hiral Patel picked up two wickets each.

USA reached the finals of the event with a close one-run win over hosts Bermuda at NSC in the first semi-final while Canada beat Cayman Islands by five wickets in the other semi-final at St. Davids.

In the third-fourth place play-off at St. Davids, Cayman Islands beat the hosts by two wickets.
