Jaikarran Slams Unbeaten 102 For Wolfpack

Wolfpack advance to the NYSL division 1B finals by defeating Essequibo XI in a high scoring game. Batting first Wolfpack put up a massive score of 290 for 6. Anand Hargobin (45 runs) and H. Bacchus (59 runs) laid the foundation putting up an opening partnership of 102 runs.

E. Jaikarran stroked 102 not out which included 5 sixes and 13 fours.

E. Jaikarran was on fire slamming the ball to all parts of the ground to finish with a stroke filled 102 runs not out which included 5 sixes and 13 fours. Z. Bacchus and S. Adam supported with 24 and 17 runs respectively.

E. Martin and F. Goulliver were Esseqiubo most successful bowlers picking up 2 wickets each for 24 runs.

In reply Essequibo lost two fast wickets, but C. Beaton was not about to let his team go down quietly taking over the batting to score an impressive 99 runs which included 8 sixes. R. Fraser supported with 34 runs and E. Benjamin 20 run was the only other batsman to reach double figures. Essequibo finish their innings 257 runs for 8 with 74 of those runs coming off extras.

Bowling for Wolfpack R. Baichoolall took 4 wickets for 28 runs and Z. Bacchus 2 for 31 runs.  Wolfpack will play Sheffield in the final.
