Beaverton Badshahs Take Bronze In Nike Tourney

Beaverton, Oregon — The Beaverton Cricket Badshahs took the Bronze Medal at the 2016 Nike Integration Cricket Series, held at Nike World Headquarters.
Badshahs Field Captain Raghavendran “Raghav” R. led the Badshahs to their first major tournament trophy in franchise history; The Nike Integration Cricket Series was a 10-overs tournament aimed at delivering the fast-paced flavor of the game to fans new to the sport.
The medalist Badshahs roster included: Pradeep Raju Sibbal, Ravi Shivanavvagol, Abhijit Kulkarni, Avinash Singh, Naren Vallam, Santosh Paricharak, Div Narendra, Raghavendran R. (Field Captain), Sumit Bajpai (Bowlers Captain), Trang Duong-Rowe, David Wirtanen and Justin Lacche, adding,”.
The Badshahs, a member of the American Cricket Federation, competed in two extremely close semifinal matches in the past two seasons, according to Badshahs co-Captain, Justin Lacche. The prolific batsman said, “we fell short to the eventual champions – we congratulate them,” adding, “I’m proud of this year’s team for digging deep and coming back to earn the bronze medal; we shouldn’t settle for third place, but at the same time, we are climbing closer to where we want to be.”
Lacche is the Badshahs all-time runs leader at 1,258 over eight seasons. The Beaverton Cricket Badshahs have had 65 players from six countries, since its establishment in 2009.
