A Select New York X1 will travel to Springfield, Massachusetts on Saturday, June 29 to take on a Connecticut X1 in a Memorial cricket match honoring the Late Ravindranath Harricharran, also known as “Metric”. The New York X1 will include players from the Port Mourant area in Berbice, Guyana, and who now reside in the New York Tri- State area.
Some of the confirmed players are Moshin and Zamal Khan, Ryan Persaud, Mahendra Maynard, Imran Peters, and Marlon and Derrick Kallicharran. Connecticut will be led by Shannon Raghunauth and include players from Enfield and Riverside Cricket Clubs, two teams with which Mr. Harricharran was associated with before his untimely passing in 2018.
A chartered bus will leave on the morning of the game to take players and supporters to Springfield, Massachusetts, and returning to New York after the match.
Please come out and support this event even if you’re not from Port Mourant in Guyana. The round-trip bus fee to Massachusetts is only $30. Per person.
