President of the USA Tapeball Organization Amir Saddique is buzzing with excitement as the bilateral two-day series between Canada and USA bowls off Saturday.
They are set to play each other twice on the opening day and then two more games Sunday before a championship contest Sunday afternoon at the International Cricket Council Multi-Sports Complex in Houston, Texas.
“We [are] indeed super excited to host this inaugural tapeball series between USA and Canada; it will be a historic event, and I am confident it will not only be successful but will also be a game changer for the Tapeball community,” Saddique disclosed.
Quizzed if this will be an annual event, Saddique responded: “Definitely, this will go on and on; we at USA Tapeball are committed to getting Tapeball to the next level; we have been working assiduously to ensure that this sport can grow from strength to strength,” Amir Saddique mentioned in an exclusive interview to USACricketers.Com.
He also took the opportunity to express his sincerest gratitude to all the sponsors for coming on board to make the two-day tournament a reality.
“We have to thank the sponsors for supporting this event; we are grateful to them, and we are all looking forward to creating history with excitement,” Saddique related.
The 10-overs action is slated to bowl off at 2 pm, with the second game commencing at 4 pm. The following day will see the two countries matching their skills from 10 am and then at 12 pm. The championship fixture will kick off at 3 pm, followed by a presentation ceremony.
According to the leader Saddique, he and his fellow associates are also planning to host an international tournament. He vehemently believes that with the players from both countries already showing profound love for Tapeball, the mega event is already on the horizon.
“As I said, it is about creating opportunities for the Tapeball community, so we will keep hosting these types of events, our next goal is to host a world cup event; what we saw that players are keen to participate and lift tapeball game, so a world cup tournament should happen sooner rather than later,” the USA Tapeball President revealed.
Meanwhile, Sal Media Personnel Sal Syed Salman echoed similar sentiments of Saddique, also optimistic about a wonderful two-day tapeball series. He highlighted that the Canadian Tapeball players are anxious to get on the field and are predicting some fierce actions.
Sal stated that USA Tapeball is also engaging the community and encouraging young players to begin playing the sport more frequently.
