The USA Under-19 side produced a commanding display at the Param Veers Sports Complex, Ground 1, on Tues., August 12, dismantling Argentina Under-19 in a one-sided contest during the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup Americas Qualifier. The match, which lasted barely over 12 overs in total, saw the Americans dominate with both ball and bat to register a thumping nine-wicket victory.
Winning the toss, USA captain opted to field first, a decision that paid immediate dividends. The Argentine innings unraveled almost from the first ball. Supransh Kumar and Sabrish Parsad shared the new ball and ripped through the top order with precision seam bowling. Kumar struck first, removing opener Juan Moline for a duck in just the second delivery of the match. Parsad joined the party soon after, dismissing Otto Sorondo and captain Valentin Bur within his first two overs.

Nikhil Sudini played aggressively, smashing 14 runs off eight deliveries with two crisp boundaries, while Saharsh Shwethan contributed 3 not out. The only blemish came when Shiv Shani was caught by Alvaro Minardi off captain Valentin Bur for 2, with the score on nine.
Sudini’s fluent stroke play and Shwethan’s steady presence ensured that the target was overhauled in just 2.2 overs, sealing victory with 47.4 overs to spare.
