CLARENDON, JAMAICA – The West Indies Cricket Development Academy Limited (WICDA) proudly hosted an Appreciation and Recognition Ceremony recently to celebrate the outstanding achievements and dedication of the Denbigh High School Under-16 cricket team.
The event served as a formal tribute to the young athletes who have demonstrated remarkable skill, discipline, and sportsmanship throughout the season. The academy extends its heartfelt gratitude to the players for their hard work, and to the parents and the Denbigh High School administration for their unwavering commitment to the holistic development of these student-athletes.

“This success is the result of a collective effort,” noted a representative of the Academy. “We are deeply grateful to our partners, including the Cricket Hall of Fame and the Atlantis Cricket Club – NY, whose invaluable support has been instrumental in providing opportunities for these young cricketers.”
The Academy also expressed special appreciation to key figures who have been pillars of this initiative, including Mr. Michael Chambers, Mr. Dale Brown, and Mr. John Melbourne, among many other dedicated supporters. Furthermore, the organization formally acknowledged the selfless contributions of the assistant coaching staff, whose mentorship has been vital in shaping the technical and personal growth of the players.
