Team USA defeated Bangladesh by 5 wickets
Batting first after winning the toss, Bangladesh reached 152 for 8 in the allotted 20 overs in Group A clash in the 6th round of the Lauderhill Maq T20 Intl. Night Cricket Tournament. Mohammad Salakin top scored for Bangladesh, slamming 30 not out from 17 balls including (2×4) and (2×6). Other contributions came from Rajeev Prabhakar who scored 28, Mohammad Huda 25 and Fardeen Zahid 21. Bowling for Team USA, Rhaine Boothe grabbed 3 for 30, whilst Nick Mittoo took 2 for 18, Joseph Smith 1 for 28 and Omari Williams 1 for 33.
In reply, Team USA under 19 opening batsman Omari Williams set the Lauderhill Sports Park on fire, hitting a blistering 94 not out from 53 balls including (9×4) and (3×6). Williams and fellow opening batsman, Jimar Chin shared an opening stand of 80 with Chin scoring 24 including (2×4) and (1×6). Team USA ended on 154 for 5 in 18.3 overs. No other batsman reach double figures but Williams were able to guide the lower order to register the first win for Team USA. Bowling for Bangladesh, Rajeev Prabhakar took 2 for 27, Fardeen Zahid 1 for 10, Mainuddin Ahmed 1 for 27 and Sala Uddin 1 for 36. Bangladesh has lost its second game of the tournament with no victories.
World XI defeated Guyana by 1 wicket
World XI defeated Guyana to remain unbeaten in Group A in the second match at the Lauderhill Sports Park in the 11th Annual Lauderhill Maq T20 Intl. Night Cricket Tournament. Batting first after winning the toss, Guyana was restricted to 158 for 8 in the allotted 20 overs. Most of the Guyanese batsmen got off to good starts but none were able built big scores. Clyde Perkins and Riad Mohammed both scored 22, whilst Vickram Kumar scored 19, Nazim Ali 18, Andy Ramasawack 13 and Masood Mohammad 12. Bowling for World XI, USA representative Hussain Haider bagged 3 for 22 from 4 overs and Rizwan Mohammed grabbed 3 for 18. Asif Motiwala took 1 for 13 and Faizon Maqsood 1 for 48.
In reply, World XI reached the victory target with five balls to spare in a thrilling finish. Batting for World XI, Rajat Verma slammed 82 from 47 balls including (11×4) and (3×6). Verma shared a third wicket partnership of 104 with Varun Penmasta who scored 34 including 2 sixes, whilst Faizon Maqsood chipped in with 16 not out from 9 balls including 2 fours and 1 six. World XI ended on 162 for 9 from 19.1 overs to registered their second consecutive victory and remain unbeaten. Bowling for Guyana, Vickram Kumar grabbed 2 for 26, Riad Mohammad 2 for 30, Masood Mohammad 2 for 31, whilst Andy Ramasawack took 1 for 7 and Nasim Ali 1 for 25.
