“CT20 is picking up significant global interest and we look forward to this continuing through the partnership with Rogers Media and Cricket Canada,” Yeates added.
“Sportsnet is thrilled to be bringing Canadians comprehensive coverage of the Caribbean Twenty20,” said Navaid Mansuri, Vice President, Finance and Sports Programming, Broadcast, Rogers Media.
“We have a great partner in Cricket Canada and are proud to support the Canadian national team. Canadian sports fans are in for a real treat; this is going to be an exciting tournament.”
Vice President of Cricket Canada, Ravin Moorthy added: “To be able to put our players on a stage where over 5 million Canadians have the opportunity to watch them play is a major achievement for the organization and our growing sports brand.”
“Cricket has never had this level of exposure in the country and we will continue to push the sport into the mainstream of Canadian sporting consciousness through opportunities like the CT20,” Moorthy added.
Canada is participating in the tournament for the third consecutive year, having competed in the inaugural edition in 2010 and then again in 2011.
