Mominul Haque‘s knock of 80 against Pakistan in the first Test at Khulna ensured that they ended the day on top. On the way to his knock, Mominul broke a special record, he has scored a half-century or more in his last 10 Tests.
Only four batsmen — Viv Richards of the West Indies, South Africa’s AB de Villiers and the Indian duo of Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag — have scored more 50s in consecutive Test matches. He looks to be a fine prospect and is the one to watch out for in future.
Bangladesh are having a dream run against Pakistan, having already beaten them 3-0 in ODI series, they won the only T20 International too. They have started the 1st Test well, ending on 236 for four at the end of Day One at Khulna. Mominul Haque has been in rich Test form and will want to continue to do well ahead.
