East Bank And East Side Warriors Under Protest
East Bank Cricket Club won the toss elected to bat. With the ball not moving around much on the fast Hecksher track and a closer examination of the ball in the eight over reveal that the use a replica MB darker unapproved ball without the EACA logo ball was detected. The umpires was informed the then ask the East side captain to use the correct ball which they had alot of and to rub it in the mud to continue the game. They refused to use the league approved logo ball. East Bank captain Sohan Dass then informed the umpires the game was playing under protest.
East Bank CC went on to make 214 for the loss of 9 wickets in 40 overs. Royo Sankar top Scored with 74 {3x4}, Mark Gomes 24, Debo Sankar 31 and T. Rodney 13 not out. Istiaq 3 wkts for 35 runs, Sajjad 2 wkts for 47 runs were the wicket takers.
