The USA Global Cricket Academy, based in New Jersey, continues to play a leading role in developing youth cricket across the United States. As the nation’s first registered 501(c)(3) cricket organization and longest-running youth cricket development program, the academy has helped nurture generations of players and earned international recognition, including the ICC Global Award for Best Junior Development Initiative in 2003.Regional cricket updates

Through its structured U-15, U-19, and U-23 pathways, the academy has provided young cricketers with opportunities to compete internationally in countries such as India, Sri Lanka, and the West Indies. Many alumni have progressed to represent the United States, including players who participated in the inaugural ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup in 2006.

Recognizing the growing demand for qualified coaches as cricket expands across schools and colleges nationwide, the academy is now placing greater emphasis on coach  education. It has launched initiatives to support coaches pursuing advanced Level 3 and Level 4 certifications through ACF Coaches by providing financial assistance and  educational resources.USA cricket gear

“The academy has nurtured and supported countless young players over the years, and many former students are now giving back to help develop the next generation,” said Ashok P. Patel, Founder and President of the USA Global Cricket Academy and a Cricket Hall of Famer.

The ACF Cricket Coaching Program, led by Jatin Patel, recently marked its 12th anniversary of coach education and grassroots development. Patel, a multi-sport coach, Cricket Hall of Famer, and Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, has been instrumental in advancing cricket coaching standards throughout the United States.

ACF’s newly launched Level 3 and Level 4 GOLD Certification program serves as an elite coaching pathway, featuring advanced training in  sports analytics, video analysis, mindfulness, and AI-driven coaching techniques. The program is approved by the American Cricket Education Council (ACEC), endorsed by the Cricket Hall of Fame, and recognized by United Cricket Coaches and Physical Education Teachers.

More than 60 academies and youth programs across the country have benefited from ACF’s coach development initiatives. Operating under the philosophy of “For the Coaches, By the Coaches,” the program promotes continuous learning and innovation.Education

With cricket returning to the Olympic Games at Los Angeles 2028 and growing opportunities for youth scholarships through colleges and universities, the sport’s future in the United States appears brighter than ever.

“This program goes beyond traditional coaching certifications by offering performance-based earning opportunities alongside advanced education,” said Jatin Patel. “It is designed to strengthen grassroots cricket and create a sustainable pathway for coaches across the Americas.”

Together, the USA Global Cricket Academy and ACF Coaching Program are helping build a stronger foundation for cricket by investing in both player and coach development nationwide.
