Canada made a promising start through Yuvraj Samra, who played positively for his 52 off 46 deliveries, striking seven boundaries and a six. Ali Nadeem Abbasi added 14 before falling to Ehsan Adil, while Pargat Singh contributed 25 as Canada reached 121 for 3 midway through the innings.

Matthew Spoors anchored the middle overs with 31, but it was Nicholas Kirton who steadied the innings with a patient 53 from 68 balls. Kirton’s knock featured three fours and a six and helped rebuild after regular wickets had slowed the scoring rate.

The late acceleration came from Harsh Thaker, whose aggressive 51 from just 41 deliveries lifted Canada toward a competitive total. Thaker struck two fours and two sixes before being run out in the closing stages. Akhil Kumar chipped in with 20, while extras added a significant 23 runs to Canada’s final score.

For the United States, Harmeet Singh and Saurabh Netravalkar were the standout bowlers, claiming two wickets each. Milind Kumar, Shehan Jayasuriya and Ehsan Adil picked up one wicket apiece, while Nosthush Kenjige maintained impressive control, conceding only 12 runs from four overs.

The chase began steadily before Canada struck early blows. Monank Patel scored a brisk 30 from 24 balls, but the dismissals of Patel, Smit Patel and Shehan Jayasuriya left the United States at 55 for 3 inside the first 10 overs.
With the innings in danger of losing momentum, Milind Kumar took control. Displaying patience and excellent shot selection, he anchored the chase with a magnificent unbeaten 111 from 125 deliveries, including five boundaries and three sixes. His innings provided the stability the United States desperately needed after the early setbacks.

Kumar found an able partner in Shubham Ranjane, who produced a crucial 59 off 64 balls. The pair added 116 runs for the fifth wicket, shifting momentum firmly in favor of the visitors. After Ranjane’s dismissal in the 46th over, Kumar remained calm and guided the chase to completion.

With 10 runs required from the final three deliveries, Sanjay Krishnamurthy held his nerve and delivered the decisive blows, scoring 2, 6, and 2 to seal the victory in dramatic fashion. The right-hander remained unbeaten on 21 from 18 balls, providing the finishing touch as the United States chased down the target to reach 276 for 5 and complete a memorable five-wicket win.

The victory strengthens the United States’ position in the League 2 standings, while Canada will look to bounce back after a spirited but ultimately unsuccessful effort.
