Oakland Coliseum, CA (June 26th, 2026): Texas Super Kings continued their impressive run in the 2026 Major League Cricket season with a hard-fought six-wicket victory over MI New York in a low-scoring contest at the Oakland Coliseum on Friday. Donovan Ferreira starred with a match-winning all-round performance, producing a superb spell of 3 for 14 before returning to finish unbeaten with the bat as TSK chased down 128 with six balls to spare.

After winning the toss, MI New York opted to bat but struggled from the outset on a surface that offered steep bounce and appreciable turn. Adam Milne struck an early blow by removing Monank Patel for 2 before Ryan Rickelton was trapped lbw for 5, reducing MI to 24 for 2 inside the opening four overs.
Tajinder Singh briefly counterattacked with an entertaining 22 from just 10 deliveries, smashing two sixes before Hardus Viljoen ended his cameo to leave the innings at 49 for 3.
Quinton de Kock battled for 20, while Nicholas Pooran managed only 3 as Ferreira took control through the middle overs. The South African all-rounder delivered one of the standout bowling spells of the tournament, conceding just 14 runs in four overs while claiming three key wickets, including a maiden over that tightened the screws on the struggling batting lineup.
Corbin Bosch (24) and Sunny Patel (26 not out) mounted a late recovery, while Trent Boult chipped in with a brisk 18 off 12 balls from No. 9 to push MI New York to 127 for 9 from their 20 overs. Abhimanyu Lamba complemented Ferreira with an economical spell of 1 for 18 from his four overs, while Milne claimed 2 for 22.
Chasing a modest target of 128, Texas Super Kings approached the innings cautiously. Captain Faf du Plessis departed for 13 after falling to Rushil Ugarkar, but Saiteja Mukkamalla anchored the chase with a patient 38 from 37 deliveries to steady the innings.
Rilee Rossouw contributed a measured 18 before Ugarkar struck again, while Milind Kumar was run out for 22 following sharp work in the field by Sunny Patel. At 96 for 4 with four overs remaining, the contest remained finely balanced.
Ferreira once again rose to the occasion, displaying the composure that had already defined his bowling performance. He remained unbeaten on 18 from 13 deliveries, while Wiaan Mulder provided valuable support with an unbeaten 19 off 15 balls. Mulder's six off Corey Anderson in the penultimate over effectively sealed the result as Texas Super Kings reached 132 for 4 in 19 overs to complete a six-wicket victory.
Ugarkar was MI New York's standout bowler with figures of 2 for 16 from his four overs, giving his side every chance despite the modest total.
The result marked consecutive victories for Texas Super Kings at the Oakland Coliseum and highlighted the growing balance within their squad. Ferreira's outstanding all-round display proved decisive, while the bowling attack once again delivered a disciplined effort to restrict the opposition to a below-par score.
For MI New York, another top-order collapse proved costly. Despite a spirited lower-order fightback, their inability to build meaningful partnerships during the powerplay ultimately left them with too little to defend.
Brief Scores: Texas Super Kings 132/4 in 19 overs (Saiteja Mukkamalla 38, Wiaan Mulder 19*; Rushil Ugarkar 2/16) beat MI New York 127/9 in 20 overs (Sunny Patel 26*, Corbin Bosch 24, Trent Boult 18; Donovan Ferreira 3/14, Adam Milne 2/22, Abhimanyu Lamba 1/18) by six wickets.
