New York, USA – September 16, 2013 – The American Cricket Federation (ACF) recognizes the tremendous contributions of thousands of volunteers who help to drive the growth of cricket in the United States, and would like to acknowledge those contributions. The ACF is set to launch a national Volunteer Recognition Award program next month. The award program will identify and recognize one individual each month, and who was nominated for his/her outstanding contributions to the development and growth of the sport within the continental United States. The program will culminate with the national award being announced in October of each year. Award recipients will receive at minimum Certificates of Recognition and acknowledgement in the media, with the national recipient receiving a beautiful plaque and a Certificate of Recognition.
Nominations are not limited only to members or individuals associated with the American Cricket Federation, in keeping with the organization’s principles of inclusiveness and transparency in helping grass roots cricket flourish in the United States. The objective is to recognize the contributions of individuals who toil each and every day in the pursuit of developing the sport.
The ACF invite the nominations of individuals involved in men, youth and women’s cricket development in the USA, and a three-person award panel will select the individual based on a brief bio-essay submitted by another individual and supported by a third person, familiar with the contributions of the nominee.

Nominations for the month of October 2013 must be submitted to the ACF no later than Saturday, September 28, 2013.
Hard copy nominations may be mailed to American Cricket Federation, P.O. Box 1576, Valley Stream, NY 11582 no later than the 28th day of any month. The nominee will then be considered for the following month’s award, based on the postal receipt date of the nomination.
Nominations may also be transmitted electronically to [email protected] and will be recognized by the date and time stamp of the e-mail received.
