American Cricket Federation
By now you have no doubt received your Compliance Attestation, which sets the stage for a convenient replay of the 2012 USACA election results. This, of course, follows the USACA Board of Directors total rejection of the recommendations you submitted regarding changes to the USACA constitution. I have no doubt (and I’m sure you don’t either) how this will all play out in the end.

Jamie Harrison, Chief Executive Officer of American Cricket Federation.

You are to be congratulated for your steadfast determination to right a sinking ship, and your efforts to save the USACA organization from itself. There is no disgrace in failing to achieve success when the cards are so clearly stacked against you. USACA has fallen under the spell of a master manipulator, and I think you must now realize that it can no longer be salvaged. A new path must be considered.

But we can’t just let Dainty win again, can we? The ICC wouldn’t let this happen, would they?

The ICC will not intervene in USACA’s internal affairs, so long as they seem (on the surface) to line up with constitutional requirements, so you shouldn’t expect any help from there. You could engage in a lengthy and expensive legal challenge, but I doubt you’ll fare better than previous plaintiffs. And, while you continue to play the game, the United States faces imminent suspension and longterm disqualification from ICC events, at all levels.

There is however, another way. There is a democratic organization that is ready to accept you and share power with you. This organization has fair representation for all cricket stakeholders, term limits (so no cliques can take over), and NO CRIPPLING DEBT. We also have a functional national domestic league, a successful national championship event, a thriving USA-Canada series, plus lots of other great benefits. And, perhaps most importantly, we have a constitution where fairness and justice are enshrined forever.

And, believe me, once USACA is mostly depopulated, the ICC will then be free to recognize the new American reality. I know this because they’ve told me so.

So, you really have two choices:
You can stay with USACA and continue to exhaust yourself, fighting with people who have always treated you like dirt; or, you can come help us build a better future together for American cricket – today. This nightmare will end the moment you decide that it’s over. And yes, at a certain time there becomes a clear difference between noble loyalty and pointless obstinance for the sake of pride.

Remember, there’s still one last ballot that USACA can never take from you. Make your voices heard and vote with your feet; end this charade now, and together we’ll build the United States into the best cricketing nation in the world.

And please let me know what I can do to help you and your league to be successful. Our leagues are our regional development centers and the most important pieces to the USA cricket mosaic.

Together, we can do this.

In Friendship and Respect,
Jamie Harrison
