With so much going on in all the eight regions of USACA, the member leagues have realized that the time has come to make a change for the betterment of cricket in this country.
To have proper democratic process and keeping into consideration the size of the cricket stakeholders in this country, I had appealed on June 8th, 2011 for the PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE. The Cricket stakeholders nationwide have welcomed this. I urge the USACA administration to look into the appeal ASAP.
We are running out of time with elections only three months away and days numbered to the planned election date October 15th, 2011, my priority to get the general membership involved in getting things done in USACA is my proposal to clean up the election process. I have earlier said the candidates have to speak for themselves in front of presidents of the leagues instead of their representatives – an open debate with question and answer session – The first ever presidential debate taking USA cricket in to new era which will stay there for years to come.
Elaborating on Article XXI & Article XXII from the constitution of the USACA, I want the USACA board to come up with an independent auditor as early as possible and authorize the Independent auditor to form a commission of Presidential debates. This will pave room for the general membership to flow in their questions, organize a timed six baton run presidential debates in the states of New York, Illinois, California, Texas, Florida and finally at the election venue prior to the elections. This I believe will be the first step to fairness and democracy in USACA that I have been wanting to implement.
I once again appeal with the election committee of the USACA board to look into it and arrange a debate for fairness with the voters so they can make an informed choice in electing the next president.
